Steel Valley Bitcoin (SVB) is a tri-state initiative rooted in the Ohio River Valley, connecting West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania through digital innovation and community engagement. We scout sites and support sustainable Bitcoin mining projects that repurpose flared and waste gas to power high-performance computing — reducing emissions while revitalizing local economies.

In parallel, we deploy Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN) to expand connectivity, data collection, and digital access across the region. Together, these efforts strengthen Appalachia’s role in building a cleaner, more decentralized future.

At its core, SVB is a community-driven movement — hosting meetups, workshops, and local discussions to demystify blockchain, promote energy literacy, and empower residents to take part in the digital economy. By fostering collaboration between citizens, universities, and policymakers, SVB is building grassroots advocacy that ensures Appalachia’s voice shapes the next era of innovation from the ground up.
